Description: This beautiful 1900 Steinway A (6’2") grand shows how conscientious maintenance and loving care have kept this vintage piano in great condition for over one hundred and twenty years. Its tone is rich and warm, the case is satin ebony with just a few small blemishes, and on its full set of ivory keys there are only five tiny chips. We have owned it for 19 years.

We bought the piano from a friend in 2006, knowing that she had taken good care of it. The appraisal from that time describes that major work was done on the piano around 1970: soundboard replaced, new strings, pins and pinblock, regulation, and replacement of backcheck leather, hammers and shanks. Since that time the piano has been continually kept in a beneficial indoor environment with yearly tunings and maintenance. Included with the piano is an adjustable padded duet bench.
